Simple Mahi Mahi Recipe (with spicy cabbage!)


When it comes to clean eating, we're thinking outside of the box by choosing NOT to eat out of a box...or bag. Right? This is one of the fundamentals of clean eating. However, there are a few exceptions to that, and this simple mahi-mahi recipe is one of them!

I am an avid Costco shopper and was so happy to find this delicious Inland Market Mahi in their freezer section. Simple mahi-mahi is what you need on a busy weeknight! Pair with your favorite veggie recipe (or check out mine below). If you're ready for a simple mahi-mahi recipe that's no fuss an takes almost no prep work, you've found it!

This simple mahi-mahi recipe can be prepared in about 25-30 minutes from frozen and it's full of flavor! Before you nix frozen fish, take my word for it. This wild caught mahi is a great catch and not fishy at all (for those of you who are on the fence about seafood). I could eat this every single day. 


I paired this simple mahi-mahi recipe with spicy cabbage.

I aim for my meals to be plant-based (75% veggies at dinner time). For this dish, I chopped up a head a cabbage, about two handfuls of sliced baby portabellas and sautéed with EVOO. The veggies were then seasoned with garlic powder, a drizzle of raw honey, and little sriracha (to taste). Sautée over low heat just until the cabbage and mushrooms are tender. Remove from heat, serve and enjoy!

When you're sautéing veggies - remember low and slow! Veggies will burn and stick to the pan before they are even properly cooked if your heat is too high or if you've used too much oil.
